About Rob Headrick, M.D.

Dr. Headrick is Chief of Thoracic Surgery at the Rees Skillern Cancer Institute in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He works with cardiologists, pulmonologists and specialists in internal medicine, family practice, women’s health, endocrinology and other medical specialties to address patient needs with the latest surgical responses. Dr. Headrick graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in biomedical engineering, then went on to medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. After an internship and residency in general surgery in Chattanooga, he completed a thoracic and cardiovascular residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Headrick is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and, the Tennessee Medical Association. In 2014, he completed an MBA from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
